DRIVING TECHNOLOGY

The Riding Skills are the salt in the soup, without that, biking is bland as warm beer. With a few tricks, mainly targeted instruction and the driving in the group, suddenly impassable obstacles become sources of inspiration.

Not everyone has time and patience to learn the Bunny Hop and do wheelies, but with a few basic skills do you are able to master almost any technically difficult passage. Well protected with pads, the confidence in yourself and your bike skills is growing.

But the most important thing is the driving experience with good riders - and you'll get that from us.

Day 1 Garschurn - Ischgl, Refuge of Heidelberg 70 km, 1600 hm. We begin the tour with riding through the Montafon Valley, than we climb the pass to Kopp's reservoir. We are reaching the Heilbronner Hut for our Lunch. Then after a speedy ride through the picturesque Patznauntal, we reach Ischgl.The scenic ascent through Fimbatal takes us to the Heidelberger Refuge, were we sty the night.

 Day 2 Ischgl - Taufers 77 km, 2500 hm From the Heidelberger Refuge we push our bikes 300 hm to Fimber Pass. A five-star singletrack descent leads us on secret paths down to Engadin Valley. The magnificent location of the remote canyon facilitates the next 600 hm uphill bringing us to S- carl. A brief pause for cake in S-carl will give us the power to go further onto Costainas-Pass. Via the finest trails we reach Taufers, Munster-Valley, the first Village in Italy

 Day 3 Taufers - S. Caterina 78 km, 2050 hm (Gondola 58 km, 1280/2720 hm)

 Via the valley Val Mora we reach the high mountain regions of Stelvio National Park.After a fast descent we reach a cozy refuge for a cappuccino-break at the Lakes of Cancano. Then we enjoy lunch in the historic center of Bormio. Then a cable car takes us up to 3000 m above sea level. This is the start of nearly 1600 alt m of the finest technical singletrack down to S. Caterina, a trail made for intrepid soul-bikers. It is also possible to cycle up to 2400 hm and take an other singletrack down to S. Caterina

 Day 4 S.Caterina – Commezzadura 80 km, 2000 hm Hotel Benny 

 A narrow asphalt road winds up to the Rifugio Bonetta on Gavia Pass. At the end of an old military track we find the Rifugio Bozzi at 2618 m above sea level. Short and steep it goes up to Forcellina di Montozzo. Then we experience perfect singletrack fun down to the emerald lake Lago di Pian Palu. After a well deserved gelato break, we ride next to a swift river through the Valle di Pejo, down to the village of Commezzadura, Val di Sole

Day 5 Commezzadura - Breguzzo 82 km, 1700 hm

In case of saving time, we use the gondola to Monte Vigo and have a hike or singletrail ride to the Lake Pradalago, Rif. Viviani. Than we pass Madonna di Campiglio. We will enjoy the beauty of the Brenta Dolomites, while we climb the steep trail to the Rifugio Graffer. www.graffer.com

The following ride on Cascata trail requires intense concentration. But it is one of the highlights of the week: a gully-like trail with loose gravel and lots of big roots. At the end, at a hidden refuge, a yogurt with forest berries awaits us. A forest road leads us to a mountain lake in the Val d'Agola. On a hot day swimming is recommended! After a steep uphill passage, we reach the alpine meadows of the bear-pass (Passo Bregn de l`Ors). On this natural stage, the view opens up to the twelve apostles mountains and the Adamello glacier. Passing the alp Malga Molvina, we will have a very special trail ahead.

We have a short break at the Rifugio di Algone. After a fast downhill and one last short climb, we stay in a typical italian hotel in the mountain village of Breguzzo.

 Day 6 Breguzzo– Lake Garda 74 km, 2100 hm

 We pass through idyllic and romantic mountain villages along our way through the Valle di Giudiare. The last ascent goes up to the Rifugio Garda, where we will strengthen ourselves, before the ride down the mythical mountain biker pass named Tremalzo. It will be rock ́n roll riding down the famous military trail to the Passo Nota. Lake Garda is within reach. The last dreamlike singletracks lead us down to Riva, where we ́ll be welcomed with a Prosecco. Our farewell dinner will take place at the legendary restaurant of the incomparable Salvatore.

The most beautiful trails in the Alps, the finest maneuvers on bike, unforgettable panoramic views in the high mountains.

Solid bike handling skills are required for this tour – steps, switchbacks, jumps and riding in loose gravel should be mastered.

This tour is technically very demanding! Only a little pushing and carrying the bike.

 

 

Day 1Wald am Arlberg - Garschurn 42 km, 3100 hm downhill, 1200 uphill

 

For the first 900 altitude meters, while spectating out of the gondola, we enjoy the magnificent view of the Alps.

After a warm-up ride, we do a short climbing passage to the summit.

The introduction in the tour is a trail with big boulders and many technical difficulties.

Then the way goes down on old tracks down into the Silbertal valley.

We continue with another cable car to the middle station of the Hochjoch-Bahn in Schruns.

At 2100 meters above sea level at Wormser Refuge (Wormserhütte), we will have our lunch.

An incredible trail brings us down to St. Gallenkirch.

 

 

Day 2 Garschurn - Ischgl 48 km, 3300 hm downhill, 1150 uphill

 

After a short ride in the morning we reach Partenen , where we will board the Vermunt cable car.

In the high mountain regions of Silvretta we cycle to the Silvretta dam lake. Splendid trails lead us down to Ischgl.

 

 

Day 3 Ischgl - Taufers im Münstertal 80 km, 3700 hm downhill, 2350 hm uphill


 

The Ischgl Mountain cable cars have catered to bikers for years and offer a wonderful trail paradise.

From the Heidelberger refuge we push our bikes 300 hm to the Fimber Pass.

A five-star singletrack descent leads us on secret paths down to the Engadine Valley.

The magnificent location of a remote canyon facilitates the 600 hm uphill to S-carl to us.

Optionally you may take a bus.The obligatory cake-break in S-carl will forge the bond of the group and will form a dedicated community.

In this lonely mountain region, we reach a pass called Costainas.

Via finest trails we reach Taufers in the Munster Valley.

 

 

Day 4 Taufers im Münstertal - S. Caterina 44 km, 3550 hm downhill, 900 uphill

 

Up to the high mountain regions of the Stelvio National Park we´ll take a bus shuttle.

An asphalt track winds with 48 switchbacks up to the Stilfser Joch pass at 2800 meters above sea level.

A nice singletrack leads us to a point called Forcella di Forcola situated above the Umbrail Pass.

After a fast descent we reach a cozy refuge for a cappuccino-break at the Lakes of Cancano.

We then enjoy lunch in the historic center of Bormio. Then a cable car takes us up to 3000 m above sea level.

This is the start of nearly 1600 alt m of finest technical singletrack down to S. Caterina, a trail made for intrepid soul-bikers.

 

Day 5 S.Caterina – Dimaro 71 km, 3500 downhill, 1550 hm uphill

 

An other cable car takes us to Monte Sorbretta. After a hidden trail a narrow asphalt road winds up to the Rifugio Bonetta on the Gavia Pass.

Fortunately a bus shuttle will take us there. After a fast descent, we turn into a meadow trail heading for the mountain village of Pezzo.

At the end of an old military track we find the Rifugio Bozzi at 2618 m above sea level.

Short and steep it goes up to Forcellina di Montozzo.

Then we experience the perfect singletrack fun down to the emerald lake Lago di Pian Palu.

After a deserved gelato break we ride next to a swift river through the Val di Sole down to the village of Dimaro.

 

Day 6 Dimaro - Breguzzo 62 km, 2550 hm downhill, 1900hm uphill

 

Through a cold valley we reach Madonna di Campiglio. Later you can take a cable car to the Passo Groste or ride to riffuge Graffer.

In the dream scenery of the Brenta Dolomites no desires remain unrealized.

The following ride on the Cascata trail requires intense concentration but it is one of the highlights of the week.

On a forest road we reach a mountain lake in the Val d'Agola. On a hot day swimming is recommended!

It will be rock´n roll riding down the famous military trail to the Passo Nota.

Garda Lake is within reach. The last dreamlike singletracks lead us down to Riva, where we´ll be welcomed with a Prosecco.

Our farewell dinner will take place at the legendary restaurant of the incomparable Salvatore.

 

Day 7   Return to Wald at the Arlberg

8 nights accommodation with half board, shower / WC in 3 or 4-star hotels, often with pool and spa.

Finale Ligure Mountainbike Journey

Biking in the ultimate biking area, with no airplan into the early sun. The so-called Riviera delle Palme is a scenic stretch of coast. The mountains in the back within easy reach heights of 1800 meters.

Located 60 km south of Genoa on the Ligurian coast, is the spot, which has in recent years moved into the focus of a lot of mountain bikers. Specifically the gravity fraction has been subject to to this area.

The climate is mild all year round, in winter it is not  colder than 10 ° C, in summer it is  maximum 35 ° C warm.

The best bike-trip time is February to June and September - November

Several companies shuttling the modern knights with their metal horses up to the mountains, so they can make a big blast. For years, the local guides are working on an extensive path net bike park like, that always holds new surprises for you.

The 24 hour race in the spring, the town got famous in biker circles. In  fall it has recently come a new event - Final Enduro. We will enjoy the original italian flavor and w'll have a stroll with our friends and families at the beach.

Cortina  Mountainbike Tour

With LEVEL 5 the Dolomites start shortly after the German-Austrian border. The traverse of the North Chain of the Karwendel offers wonderful views and descents.

The unspoilt countryside of these mountain regions will be anchored firmly in your memories.

We pass the most beautiful mountains of the Dolomites and we ride down the most spectacular single-tracks on our way south.

Day 1    Mittenwald – Mieders / Stubai-Valley (70 km, 1800 hm)

At the source of river Isar open up the unique and overwhelming Karwendel-Valleys. Through a high alpine scenery, we bike up to the Solstein-hut.

A dreamlike single-track takes us over roots, steps and switchbacks, with great views down to the Inn-Valley, to Zirl. Passing the Natterer Lake and Mutters we reach the entrance of the Stubai- Valley and have view to the famous Glacier !

Day 2    Mieders – Sterzing (65 km, 2750 hm)

The hardest day of the week - 3 uphills !

The first gentle climb leads up to Maria Waldrast with its holy water. On trails and forest roads we reach Trins, and after a second climb on a forest road we´ll have lunch at the Gerichtsherrnalm.

After the descent to Vinaders follows the ascent to the Brennergrenzkammstr. Half the way we w'll have a cake breake on the Sattelalm. It gives us the power for the long climb to 2000 meters above sea level. At this point of the main alpine ridge, perfect trails for mountain biking have been built by Mussolini's henchmen.

After 12 km we will reach one of the best downhills in the Alps. Caution addictive! The  destination is Sterzing...

Day 3    Sterzing – St. Vigil (71 km, 1950 hm)

On comfortable bike paths past mighty castles we cycle along the Isarco (Eisack), get out of Mühlbach we quell the way to the Rodenecker-Alm on a rarely traveled road.The first famous mountains of the Dolomites come into view - the Geisler group. On the Starkenfeld-Alp we enjoy typical south-tyrolian gastronomic specialties.We will have a wonderful glance onto the ski-mountain Kronplatz and the Fanes Area. Again the Dolomites show their best sides. The tricky singletrail down into Gardertal offers endless bike pleasure.  Todays destination is the Sport Hotel in St. Vigil.

Day 4    St. Vigil – Cortina d´Ampezzo (58 km, 1950 hm)

The day begins with the very steep ramp to Föjedöra - 8.5 km / 1000 Hm, like on a stairway to heaven. There are not many who make it without taking a foot of !

Upon reaching the pass, an incredible view is offered to us. The award for the pains suffered is an extremely fine trail down to Braies Lake (Pragser Wildsee).

An early lunch break at the lake puts us in holiday mood.

The second climb of the day brings us to the Plätzwiese and we get our well-earned cappuccino-break. Amidst giant Dolomite mountains we reach the spectacular Knappenfuss-Valley with its  demanding tracks. Good technical skills are necessary now.

An old railway embankment, rededicated to the cycle route takes us to Cortina.

In the evening, while enjoying a good wine and typical Trentino specialties, we can´t stop telling about our exploits on the trails. 

Day 5    Cortina d´Ampezzo – Falcade (50 km, 1900 hm)

We leave the glamorous town and bike up on a forest road to Croda da Lago. The upper part is again very steep and rough. Beautifully situated at the lake, we´ll find a cozy Rifugio.

The beautiful panorama of the pass Forcella Ambrizzòla inspires us on for the fine downhill path ahead of us. Lunch break in the shadow of Mount Pelmo.

After the Passo Staulanza we immerse ourselves in a very hidden forest trail.

The obligatory cappuccino-break at Alleghe strengthens us for the upcoming ascent to our destination Falcade located at the foot of Passo Valles.

Day 6    Falcade – Zortea (47 km, 1750 hm)

We are experiencing one of the most beautiful regions of the Dolomites: Val Venegia, Passo Rolle and Pale di San Martino. Next ascent on a pass road is followed by a short passage pushing our bikes.

The Sentiero d'Italia offers us a challenging downhill. Passing the Lago del Colbricon,  a spectacular descent to S. Martino di Castrozza demands the highest standards of man and material.

In the remote town of Zortea, we reach our typical moutain hotel.

Day 7 Zortea – Levico (100 km, 1850 hm)

With the ascent to Passo Cinque Croci,  on a last dream-trail we say goodbye to the Dolomites. After a snugly lunch at , we roll down to Terme di Levico, where the efforts of the last days are washed away in the crystal clear mountain lake. The picturesque old town of Levico is the stage of our farewell dinner.

Day 8    Levico - Mittenwald(210km 3h) Return trip to Mittenwald.

8 nights accommodation with half board, shower / WC in 3 or 4-star hotels, often with pool and spa, farewell dinner with local wine, luggage transportation, riding technique training on tour, return journey.

Drinks and lunch are not included.
